Our guest speaker for July is Ruthie Jones.  Ruthie is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works for Eagle Consulting and Counseling as one of their EAP Counselors with several local businesses in the area.  The topic will be "Mental Health with a Twist".

She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, with 20 years being in mental health.  She returned to school 7 years ago to obtain her Master's Degree in Social Work to fulfill a calling and passion she has to help others "experience life at the highest level" through her work as a Counselor.  Along her journey in Counseling she has worked with individuals in recovery, teenagers, couples, families, nursing home residents and those making life transitions.  Ruthie doesn't meet a stranger and she loves people.  Ruthie believes that there are roots to the behaviors that people exhibit and once you help them discover and understand those roots, they can begin the process of healing and not allow the past to dictate their future, "Out of the heart flow the issues of life."  She believes in meeting people where they are on life's journey, not judging them but walking with them in the growing process.
